There are many activities for your enjoyment at Halfmoon Haven and in the area. Listed below are a few ideas and phone numbers to help you decide.

On-site: Enjoy swimming, skin boarding, volleyball, badminton, bird watching, fishing, beach and garden strolls, or just plain rest and relaxation. Behind the cottage is a sand volleyball/badminton court and beyond that you can explore the flower gardens, fruit trees.
Beach Lovers/Boaters: Welcome Beach is touted as the "Best Beach on the Coast." A mooring buoy is available for boats up to 15 meters (50 feet). A public loading ramp is 2km (1 mile) away. We have a wind surfer for guests to use. Lifejackets are provided. Aquasocks or beach shoes are recommended.
Near by: A convenience and liquor store is located 3.5km (2 miles) north on Mintie Road. Sechelt, approximately 15km (9 miles) south, is the largest community close to Halfmoon Haven, offering a full range of services and amenities.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Hiking Trails: There are several hiking trails in the area ranging from a 15-minute stroll to a 1-hour hike. Explore the Caren Range, where a 10,000 year old growth forest is still present, or Skookumchuck Narrows with 3 meter (10 foot) tides and the largest salt water rapids in North America!
Mountain Biking: Choose from 12 designated biking trails ranging in distances from 7.5 to 30km (5 to 19 miles). Each trail is rated from easy to most difficult.
Canoeing and Kayaking: Explore the Sunshine Coast by canoe or kayak. The following places offer rentals, lessons or guided tours:
